Souls, otherwise called Essence, is a currency available in the Legends Mod. First appearing in the Superheroes Unlimited, they were ititially items required to create Mortom's character costume. Removed during development of the abandoned version 5.0, they returned as a method to access Horror characters' costumes from the altar, similar to tokens for the other mods. Souls can only be gathered after unlocking the Essence Harvesting ability at the Altar. Currently, they can only be accessed by killing live creatures, such as Creepers, Spiders, Endermen, Villagers, bosses and other players.
